RM&CO + Sailor Jerry: Partner Pete Rossi to be guest judge, mentor and speaker…

Sailor Jerry announce pop-up in Finnieston celebrating local art and music. RM&CO Partner Pete Rossi has been invited by the drinks brand, in partnership with Campus Group agency in London to be a guest speaker, judge and mentor for one day at a month wide pop-up event in the Finnieston area in Glasgow called ‘Jerry’s Open House’. Sailor Jerry are rolling into town with a pop-up celebrating Glasgow’s thriving art and music scene.

Jerry’s Open House launches on February 15 and will last a whole month at an old warehouse in Finnieston’s Houldsworth Street. The spiced rum firm have unveiled a jam-packed calendar of events, featuring performances from acts including Honeyblood and Frank Carter. They’re also holding two competitions, offering budding rockstars the chance to enter Glasgow Unsigned and win a prize including a professional music video and personalised photoshoot.

Their Back 2 Back art competition invites guests to submit art inspired by the work of their namesake, tattoo artist Norman ‘Sailor Jerry’ Collins. Five entrants will be shortlisted by acclaimed designer (Co-founder of London based RM&CO) and Glasgow School of Art alumni Pete Rossi. The winner will have their work displayed in the venue and featured in Aesthetica Magazine.

RM&CO partner Pete will be tasked with cutting the entries down to a shortlist of five final entrants/designs and will spend a day in Glasgow with the young and hungry students giving feedback on their work, mentoring them and doing a guest introduction talk about his career and work and how it aligns with Sailor Jerry’s ethos and philosophy.

And of course, you can look forward to a selection of spiced rum cocktails at the event. An event RM&CO is thoroughly delighted to be associated with. We’re very much looking forward to it.
