Crafted for ADC in 1920 by Paul Manship

This medallion, crafted for ADC in 1920 by Paul Manship, was once a coin that honored the best creative work in the world. Now, it’s emblazoned onto the brand-new ADC iPad cases, courtesy of DODOcase and designed by RM&CO. Paul Howard Manship (December 24, 1885 — January 28, 1966) was an American sculptor and served as the Chairman of the New York City Council for Art Week.

These are the new custom DODOcases specifically made for the Art Directors Club. ADC Commissioned us to design a limited edition iPad case to coincide with the first time in the ADC’s 92-year history that no awards annual will be printed.

In close collaboration with ADC and DODOcase (the manufacturers) we have come up with a handcrafted iPad case which looks and feels like a book — you open it up and voila, it doesn’t have pages but instead a space to place your iPad.

In keeping with the brief and with the fact that its no longer a printed ADC Annual but an App that showcases the winning work from each year on in. Special thanks to ADC members Mariam Guessous and Fernando Gomez for bringing the medallion back to life. Stay tuned at adcglobal and facebook for details on how to get your hands on one of these handcrafted iPad cases.
